It has been three years since the Private Lodging Business Act (also called the New Minpaku Act) came into effect, and discussions on a review of the Act are said to begin within the current fiscal year. The article stresses the need to promote landlord-occupied minpaku (private accommodation), which will also help revitalize local communities.
