Privacy Policy

Makaira K. K. (hereinafter referred to as “Company”), in order to promote the protection of personal information by observing the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003) (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information Protection Act”), subordinate laws and ordinances, notices and guidelines, etc. (hereinafter, collectively referred to as “Personal Information Protection Acts, etc.” together with the Personal Information Protection Act) and have its employees and other interested parties address and ensure the importance and understanding of the protection of personal information, hereby sets forth and discloses its policy (hereinafter referred to as “Privacy Policy”) concerning the protection of personal information.

1.Appropriate use of personal information
The Company shall not use personal information in a way that encourages or may possibly induce illegal or unjust acts.
2.Purpose of use of personal information
The Company shall use personal information acquired for the following purposes. In the event that personal information is to be acquired for purposes not indicated below, such purposes shall be notified, publicly announced or clearly indicated at the time of acquisition, based on the Personal Information Protection Acts, etc. In the event that the purposes notified, publicly announced or clearly indicated in advance are to be changed or personal information is to be used beyond the scope of such purposes, the Company shall observe the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Acts, etc.

(1)Personal information concerning participants in events hosted or operated by the Company
  • 1.For responding to inquiries from participants;
  • 2.For managing entry into and exit from the Company’s facilities;
  • 3.For providing the Company’s services, or for providing information on events hosted or operated by the Company or new services (including third-party provision); and
  • 4.For providing follow-through services in association with the Company’s services and providing information on such services.
(2)Personal information concerning business partners (including clients, outsourcing contractors, or other parties involved in business (such as political, administrative, industrial, organizational parties involved), and parties that have exchanged name cards or met with the Company’s executives and employees)
  • 1.For contacting business partners in the course of business;
  • 2.For performing various contracts between business partners;
  • 3.For contacting business partners concerning sales negotiations and meetings;
  • 4.For implementing consideration, investigations, research, provision of information, etc. in association with business entrusted or business that may possibly be entrusted by business partners; and
  • 5.For providing the Company’s services, or for providing information on events hosted or operated by the Company or new services.
  • 6.For managing entry into and exit from the Company’s facilities.
(3)Personal information concerning applicants for employment
  • 1.For providing information on recruitment information;
  • 2.For selecting applicants and contacting applicants concerning selection;
  • 3.For implementing procedures for entering the Company and various training before entering the Company; and
  • 4.For managing entry into and exit from the Company’s facilities.
There may be cases in which statistical information from which the individual cannot be identified is prepared from the above personal information through statistical processing. The Company may, at times, use such statistical information, for example, for analyzing the effects of events.
3.Provision of personal data to third parties
The Company shall not provide personal data to third parties except in the following events.
  • (1)In the event that the individual’s prior consent has been obtained with respect to provision to third parties;
  • (2)In the event that such personal data is to be provided in association with the Company’s consignment of all or a part of the handling of personal data within the scope necessary for achieving the purpose of use; and
  • (3)In other events in which provision to third parties is permitted based on the Personal Information Protection Acts, etc.
4.Handling of retained personal data
The handling of personal data retained by the Company shall be as follows.

5.Changes to Policy
There may be cases in which the Company changes or revises this Policy as necessary due to changes in laws and ordinances or in the course of business. Such changes, etc. shall be posted on this website. Customers are asked to sufficiently confirm the details of the newest version of this Policy after changes, etc. posted on this website.
